The United States

We have been multiple times to the United States. As it is a huge and diverse country, you can spent many vacations before you will have seen the whole country.

And then it is still the questions if you wil ever see the whole country.

Things to keep in mind:

  • It is a huge country. If you have limited time and you want to see more places, you have to take flights, as otherwise you will spend a lot of time on the road.
  • Chose your vacation period wisely. For example spring brake in Florida will be extremly crowded and busy. On the other hand winters can be cold.
  • Tipping is mandatory, which for us Europeans somehting you have to adjust to. 20% is at the moment the minimum, anything less will be seen as you did not like the service. So don`t just round the amount on the bill, because you will be asked what is wrong. On the other hand, as the staff works mainly on tips, the service you will get is better than what you will experience in Europe.

Las Vegas

From Europe it is a long flight to Las Vegas. However, it is one of these places which is difficult to describe. You have to experience it in order to get the feeling how this citry really is.

New York

The city that never sleeps. It is for sure a city which you have to include in a vacation in the United States. Even if it is just for a few days.

It is simply impressive, with a lot of famous landmarks.

Los Angeles

Los Angeles is easy to combine with a visit to Las Vegas. It is also on of the cites where the better option is to go by car. The drive is not to long, and the road is fascinating.

Miami is off course the most famous city in Florida. But don`t forget about the Florida Keys. A drive to and a stay in Key West is defiantly worth it. Are you looking for less hectic, also the West coast of Florida has nice spots to enjoy!
